Sannamaaria Vanamo is Deputy Director General at the Department for Euro-Atlantic Affairs at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. A career diplomat, she joined the Ministry in 1999 and has held several senior positions both in Helsinki and abroad, including Consul General in St. Petersburg and Counsellor at the Finnish Embassy in Washington, D.C. She brings extensive expertise in foreign policy, EU affairs, international security, and economic cooperation. Her experience also covers arms control, non-proliferation, and Arctic policy. She currently serves on the board of NEFCO and speaks multiple languages, including English and French.
