On Friday, 12 June, we successfully launched the very first edition of the French-Finnish Chamber of Commerce Pétanque Tournament in Helsinki.

“La Finlandaise” brought together a total of 45 participants from our member companies and business network for an afternoon of friendly competition, networking, and French-inspired conviviality.

More than just a tournament, the event offered a unique opportunity to discover and share one of France’s most iconic traditions. For some participants, it was their very first introduction to pétanque; for others, it was a nostalgic return to a game they had not played in years. The spirit of the game quickly brought everyone together in a fun competition, creating moments of genuine connection and laughter.

We are delighted with the positive atmosphere and enthusiastic participation throughout the event, which successfully combined connection with a touch of French culture. A special thank you to our member Fizza for their delicious pizzas and support of this inaugural event.
